I have no care that this is being (now reductively, as opposed to “good” PR spin before) called “emo” and “A Beautiful Lie Part 2”. Calling it Part 2 is a compliment- that cd is a fucking classic. This album is amazing. Really wanna see them live.

P.S. my xmas presents ideas for some people have gone out the window seeing Paramore sideshow sold out so quickly (even though it was >$60.. for a sideshow)

So what better way to learn about her than through her own, halting dialect. That is the device deployed in the first novel by poet and singer Sapphire. “Sometimes I wish I was not alive,” Precious says. “But I don’t know how to die. Ain’ no plug to pull out. ‘N no matter how bad I feel my heart don’t stop beating and my eyes open in the morning.”

This movie is incredible. The Oscar buzz surrounding this movie is completely warranted. Mo’nique and Maria Carey are stand-outs. Fuck- can’t rate this high enough. 11/10.
